Grower: Terpie Garden
Rating: not applicable
Terpie has bred his own cultivar, Violet Blender, and sent me the results of what he thinks is the best of first round of pheno hunting. We will be bringing you periodic updates as each round and hunt comes through—showing the development of this bud and the adjustments from round to round.
Violet Blender looks and smells like a typical Terpie Bud—large, plush, springy, with dark almost black base, frosted white with rust colored hairs abounding. The aroma is very good—and this is normally where Terpie excels—with a strong creamy, vanilla, blueberry and tropical fruit essence. The flavor however does not match the aroma and commences with a more earthy, slightly sweet herbal and minty taste with a fast fading fruity touch. Surprisingly the tastiest part of this bud is close the end of the joint where the herbal and minty touches get the strongest with an almost life-saver peppermint candy likeness. The flavor is not bad—and has some interesting characteristics.
Violet Blender’s high is enjoyable. It begins with a lull, this consumer felt slightly numb in the head, but the mental pause ends and a creative thoughtful and positive energy moves in, mental obstacles are removed and replaced with focus and engagement. The next phase of the high brings in a wave of euphoria, excitement and great satisfaction with a heightened sense of self which almost becomes trippy.
From an aesthetic, aroma and high point of view I can confidently recommend Violet Blender. But the flavor is not where it should be yet. There is nothing wrong with the flavor—but it nonetheless does not rise to a recommendable level. Let’s see how this bud develops in the round 2 pheno hunt!
