Puma Claw is not for everyone. At the outset I thought it wouldnโt be for me. But by the end of a far too large jointโI was converted, convinced but still have doubts that this cultivar is for the masses. To begin with, Puma Claw was presented in compressed brick form. A packed mass of multi-hued green which easily crumbled into the stuff joints are packed with. The aroma is nice and cleanโsweet citrus sharp lime, cocoa, and fresh earth. The flavor loses the citrus touches of the aroma but has a deeper and smoother earthy chocolate and coffee flavor, a bit of iodine, and an herbal and minty finish. There is something about that flavor which brought me in with each breath, getting better, stronger, richer and more curious and enjoyable.
Because of that curious flavor, I probably overconsumed that bud in too short of a time period. The immediate high was a bit overwhelming, leaving me in a bit of an edgy and buzzy stateโbut that edge curbed and loosened into an elevated heady high, stoned for sure, but in a somewhat controlled happy daydream. I slowly nursed the rest of my jointโcontrolling and enjoying the high, my surroundings, and the bud itself.
Like many of Golden Templeโs buds, I only recommend Puma Claw to the most experienced cannabis consumers. The flavors and high are both too complicated for casual consumers to appreciate and understand. But, anyone who has been around the block a few times will definitely appreciate what has been grown, cured and pressed here. My advice to those old time tokers, pick it up and take it slow.
