The following diary entry is shared to provide insight into my personal use of cannabis for medicinal purposes.
This bud is a crazy experience. I went from unbelievable disgust to completely in love. When I opened my Chitown Slurry my first impression was WTF, and not in a good way. The bud initially came out with a rank overly ripe rotten fruit smell. Sort of like walking in a wet alley behind a Chinese restaurant. Was I actually supposed to smoke this? But then, as I started to manipulate that bud, that deep strong aroma started unraveling revealing super strong notes of skunk, cheese, garlic, sweet onions, spices, earth and still whiffs of overly ripe fruit. But these aromas were now tantalizing, curious and enticing. The flavor is delicious but very hard to describe, I’ll do my best: earthy, sweet onions, herb savory cheese, nuts, a touch of ammonia and a minty finish.
The high starts with soaring euphoria, a deep relaxation in the body with immediate loosening of tight and overly worked muscles, pain relief, and then a mind at ease, wandering, thinking at slow and then slower paces, and then a blissful and very deep sleep. I would categorize the high as semi-functionally stoned. I had my best sleep in weeks after smoking this bud (I can’t tell if my kids slept through the night as well—or if I just was so knocked out that I didn’t hear them) and woke up at peace with myself and the world.
I highly recommend this bud to any serious lover of cannabis. The flavors, the aromas and the high are stellar, unique and unlike anything I have tried before. I do not recommend the bud to novice consumers, an understanding and deep appreciation for buds is required to fully enjoy and consume this bud.
