The following diary entry is shared to provide insight into my personal use of cannabis to alleviate a series of medical and health issues, inclusive of insomnia and loss of appetite.
White Labs shouted out their own Ice Bath for my attention and I was really excited to try it out. At first I was a bit disappointed by the volume of cannabis at my disposal—one generous bud—but I am a greedy son of a bitch and always want more. But that one beautiful, sparkling white on green with bits of orange bud turned out to be just right, perhaps even more than what I needed for my sesh. . . but I digress. Ice Bath hits from its packaging with potent fragrances of sweet spiced citrus, like a dank honey lemon, with an earthy grounding and floral/lavender touches which are picked up in the dry pull—but can’t be ignored once learned. The flavor starts with a mix of floral, herbal and earthy, really coating and dominating the mouth finishing with a low key sweet citrus and surprising cardamom spice. Very unique, delicious with layers of flavors and aromas which at times are hard to hold down.
The bud is a heavy hitter and took me the good part of 90 minutes to finish. I took at least two naps while smoking that one bud I had earlier doubted would suffice. Suffice to say, it sufficed. The initial effects are of wonder for the bud and flavor itself, excitement, eagerness and a creative energy. But as already mentioned above, that fades fast as the body goes deep into a full on deep relaxation to the point of just giving in to sleep. I didn’t “pass out”, I voluntarily put my head back on my chair and slept until I needed another puff. In fact I moved around my apartment from balcony, to sofa and finally to bed, enjoying a great rest and deep slumber finally in bed.
I highly recommend Ice Bath to experienced consumers. The flavors and aromas are novel and like nothing I have come across—both in the clarity of essence as well as the strength and diversity of the tastes and smells. The high is full on and only appropriate for those experienced consumers ready to vegetate. I would think twice (or three times) before letting a novice consumer take a puff of this one. The next time I smoke Ice Bath—it will be in a much smaller mini joint.
