Puffins caught me off guard. I already hold Mumbo Jumbo to a high standard, but this cultivar exceeded those expectations in a very real way. The aroma is clean and immediately striking—sharp, soursweet cherry leads the way, paired with a crystalclear mint note. Beneath that sits a warm, doughy, yeasty character, wrapped in a musky, gently spiced perfume. The flavor confirms the aroma’s promise of excellence. Dominant minty cherry comes through clearly on the smoke, joined by a subtle but noticeable grapejuice sweetness and herbal finish.
Where Puffins truly earns its elite rating is the high. The strength is undeniable and immediate, but instead of being blunt or overwhelming, it soars. The effect is intensely euphoric—joyful, expansive, blissfully indulgent and decadent. My senses felt completely open and receptive to pleasure in all forms. I have sensitive teeth, and ice water normally sends sharp pangs of pain through my body—but after smoking Puffins, that sensation was transformed into pleasure. Food tasted incredible, music was immersive and all encompassing, and every breeze, every touch, every small physical detail felt elevated to something bordering on godly.
I highly recommend Puffins to all consumers. The aroma and flavor are delicious, but the real reason to seek out this bud is its fullon, superior high. This cultivar is incredibly strong, and novice consumers should absolutely limit their initial intake to a single puff. That may be enough—possibly even too much—but for those willing to step into its intensity, the soaring pleasure paired with its sheer strength is deeply rewarding. Fortune favors the brave.
