The following diary entry is shared to provide insight into my personal use of cannabis to alleviate a series of medical and health issues.
Banana Hom is a curious bud. She is pretty, like all Eclipse buds are, dense, springy, holding a lot more mass than expected in a fairly compact but significant bud. The aroma is spicy, earthy, with a low down musk, earth, but also a sour citrus, vanilla sweet taffy essence. The dry pull reveals a somewhat banana and spiced earth “mouth smell”. The flavor itself is sweet, herby, earthy, spiced, piney and musky, with a bit of that sweet (banana?) taffy working its way through an otherwise pretty old school bud. An enjoyable aroma and flavor experience.
But the high is where Banana Hom really shows off its talents (or perhaps Eclipse Genetic’s talents). The initial high (after half a J) is heady, trippy, leaving the consumer day dreaming focused on ideas at the ends of the earth, lost in thought, stimulated but not very effective, laughing and listening, but not prone to sharing and engaging. Continuing with the J after a brief break to enjoy the world, the high sinks deeper, making moving a challenge, with the body getting heavy, tired, listless and thoughts harder to follow. The bud did alleviate pain and make it very easy to sleep (and hard to wake up).
I highly recommend Banana Hom to experienced consumers chasing heady and somewhat trippy highs. The bud is strong, profound and impactful. A little way goes a long way for experienced consumers like myself—crossing that threshold takes the consumer in a different direction. Despite its classic flavors and aromas (which would make a good palette introduction to novice consumers), I cannot recommend this bud for them as it requires too much self and cannabis awareness to steer correctly. A great bud—but one reserved for those who are able to work with it.
