Black Fritters immediately called to me as I was doing an inventory of Greenhill Organic’s latest batch of samples. The bud is very fragrant with gassy fumes of fermented black berries with the sweet tart essence of pears and apples and a touch of spice and a pine overlay. All the notes in the aromas are recreated in the flavor but with a different emphasis. Gas is the dominating taste with some fruit, notably apple, spice and herbs on the finish laying just below waiting to be discerned.
The high comes on strong the mind active, engaged, highly creative but also super chill and relaxed in the body, without being lethargic, which allows the consumer to peacefully contemplate and work through issues. I consider this to be a therapeutic high for mental and physical recovery.
Black Fritters is an interesting bud. Its sweet rubber gassiness reminds me a lot of Permanent Marker (it is indeed a descendent of PM)—but it is less intense, a bit more subtle, and its high allows for greater physical movement. I would highly recommend the bud to experienced consumers who are looking for a more nuanced iteration of PM.
