Mrs. Mendel asked, “What is that? It smells like grape candy!” That bud was Grape Soda—which to me leads with a strong sweet blueberry aroma mixed with a candy gummy grape, with a touch of spice and perhaps a floral note. But Mrs. Mendel, like the folks who named this bud, agree that this is a super sweet grape smelling bud. The flavor starts with a strong musky blueberry and sweet grape taste, with low key spice and a good earthiness which lasts halfway through the combustion process. The second half of the joint is heavy on the earth and left this consumer missing the initial flavor of the bud.
The high is a fun semi-stoned state—where the body and mind are barely functional—but just functional enough to be amused, entertained, engage in silliness and good-natured laid-back chattiness. A good bud to socialize with other committed tokers—but one which may annoy those around you who are not elevated to the same level.
I highly recommend Grape Soda to those lovers of sweet grape cultivars. Everything is excellent about this bud except for its fleeting flavor (next time I’ll smoke it in a pipe or bong). However, I would still return to this bud as it is enjoyably silly, fun and relaxing. Novice consumers, as always come to this bud in moderation.
