Lion’s Paw is one of my favorite Golden Temple buds—perhaps right after Red Wine Bubble Gum. It has the trademark natural bushy sativa look and sparkly brilliance of a Golden Temple Bud. The bud’s aroma is pure citrus with lime squash concentration, hints of pomelo and melon, and the sweetness of honeysuckle nectar. The flavor shifts to cotton candy sweet with an earthy coffee taste and slight citrus fruity aftertaste. Not as strong or pleasant as the aroma—but still very interesting and enjoyable.
The high is very strong but still approachable for mere mortals like myself. A thin 1/3 gram joint was the right dosage, leaving me relaxed but still alert and focused. A great bud to slowly puff, one puff at a time, throughout the day while getting work done and taking care of business.
I highly recommend Lion’s Paw. It took me back to the pre-legalization period when I was most curious about the local buds out here in Thailand. Lion’s Paw captures the best characteristics of those buds and is grown at a level way above those growing traditional cultivars. I wish there were more growers like Golden Temple who put the time into capturing and preserving and improving those buds and genetics which are closer to where we live. Lion’s Paw is a bud which would be in a great addition to my normal repertoire.
