It’s been a long time since I tried Punch Berries and was pretty curious to see how Canabangka, a high-quality grower, would approach this bud. To my satisfaction, the aroma had strong notes of yeast, earth, spice and a bit of pine with secondary notes of orange and the fading essence of creamy berry candies. The dry pull straddles the border between citrus and berries. But the flavor comes in clear with a spiced cookies taste, earthy, spiced with an element of skunk. The fruit flavor, matching the orange and candy creamy berries of the aroma, is very much an accent rather than a dominating note.
The high is deep and knocked me out good and stoned. I was operating on very little sleep and was exhausted from a full day of parenting—but this did seem very strong. My whole being, mind and body, was overwhelmed by a high which left me feeling at points like I was falling through the floor and flying, and then finally completely knocked out and sedated.
I highly recommend Canabangka’s Punch Berries to fans of Girl Scout Cookies. For me this bud is an excellent version of Girl Scout Cookies with some interesting spicy and fruity notes. The high is thoroughly sedating, novice consumers should beware and unless they are looking for an efficient way to sleep they should stay away from the bud. But experienced consumers will enjoy the trip to sleep.
