The following diary entry is shared to provide insight into my personal use of cannabis to alleviate a series of medical and health issues, inclusive of insomnia and loss of appetite.

I loved Queen of the South when I first reviewed it in March, and I still love it now, but there are significant changes. The earlier iteration was heavier on the herbal and savory notes of the bud whereas this latest bud stresses the sweetness of lemon pine (and a bit of orange) and cherry syrup. The bud is still very deep with skunk and a minty herbalnessโ€”but the direction is more on the sweet than savoryโ€”more refreshing than satiating.

The high is similar getting deep into the body. But while the earlier iteration hit me quickly, the initial effects of this bud were more upbeat, focused, thoughtful, and in control. But Queen of the South is a creeper and she gets deep into youโ€”I progressively felt the bud relax me until I was fully locked deep into my couch. In fact my notes state โ€œNot very strongโ€ followed by โ€œACTUALLY ITโ€™S A CREEPER!โ€

I still highly recommend Queen of the South but this time for its classic skunky profile mixed with a refreshing mint and sweet cherry citrus dessert notes. The progressive high caught me by surpriseโ€”and that is something that consumers should be prepared for (novice or experienced). As I concluded the last review โ€œWhen consuming, stay at home and close to a bed (or sofa).โ€
