Grower: Thai MJ Farms (AKA Joint Point)
Rating: 4.5
The following diary entry is shared to provide insight into my personal use of cannabis to alleviate a series of medical and health issues.
Slow n Sweet is my first experience with Thai MJ Farms (also known as Joint Point), and it arrived courtesy of the good folks at Cannexus Solutions. This cultivar immediately landed squarely in my personal wheelhouse. The bud leans heavily into a super fruity profile, but not in a pure candy mannerโthis is overripe, fermented, and funky fruit, an aroma I really gravitate towards. The nose is rich and expressive, carrying a sweet-and-sour orange character layered with berries and tropical fruit, all wrapped in that unmistakable ripe, dank fermented funk so full of depth and character.
The flavor delivers precisely what the aroma promises. That funky, fermented fruit carries through clearly on the smoke, with the sweet and sour citrus and berry notes staying front and center. On the finish, an herbal note emerges, a reminder that this bud is indeed good weed.
The high is where Slow n Sweet really distinguishes itself. It creates a strong sense of creative intensity and thoughtful motivationโideas churn constantly, connections form easily, and productivity feels natural and enjoyable rather than forced. I was fully engaged, creating and working with focus and gusto, for real loving what I was doing in the moment. When I stopped, laid down, and turned on the TV, the experience shifted gears. Everything slowed, my body relaxed, and I drifted off easily into sleepโnot because the bud pulled me there, but because it allowed space for rest once activity ceased.
I highly recommend Slow n Sweet for experienced consumers. The funky fruit aroma and flavor are right up my alley, and the high is impressively utilitarian while still allowing the body to relax and destress. This is a fullon cultivarโlikely too strong for novice consumersโbut an excellent tool for those who know how to harness and direct cannabisdriven creativity.
