The following diary entry is shared to provide insight into my personal use of cannabis to alleviate a series of medical and health issues.
I almost abandoned Fugazi Funk twice as I was rolling my joint. The bud, which looks stellarโperhaps interstellar, has muted aromas of earth, citrus and spice. Even when broken down and ground, the aromas remain subdued and unremarkable. Once my J was completed I put it in its tube, and went out to dinner. I returned to the J (with a pre-roll as backup) ready to toss it if all remained the same. But, to my surprise and delight once I popped open the tube rich and delicious aromas emerged of strong spice, sweet nuts, pine and aromatic wood, and a touch of citrus. The flavor mirrored the newly improved and highly welcomed aroma. What started out as a concern became a very tasty, classic old school flavor and aroma experience.
The high was equally classic and wonderfully basic. Deep relaxation, pain and stress relief and just a great way to close the day off, take a load off, and enjoy an evening alone without knocking off immediately to sleep.
I recommend Fugazi Funk to anyone who grew up consuming cannabis in the โ90s. This bud once it was aired out and ready to go, really reminded me of the experiences I had coming up and just learning about cannabis. Back then, we would have just called it โgood weedโ. I would like to think that the young generationโand those new to cannabis would appreciate this experience as an interactive history lesson (though the buds I smoked in the โ90s never looked as pretty or funky as this Fugazi Funk).
