Cake Cream & Cheese from Cloud 9 Genetics introduces itself with a super funky, expressive aroma that wastes no time — sweet candy and lemon lime brightness sitting above a deep, unmistakable rich cheese (and foot) funk. A full on nose that could very well divide a room but for sure would delight any seasoned toker: funky, sweet, and boldly cheesy. The flavor opens up — cheese leading as expected, but joined by sweet lime turning into a more savory kafir, pepper, garlic, and herbs a procession which reveals a new layer at each turn and lingers in the mouth and brain.
The high is strong and serious from the outset — a deeply stoned, full-bodied effect that settles with authority. Senses are heightened with music and food fully appreciated while the body and mind fight to enjoy the high against the warm temptation of a nap. Eventually sleepiness takes its toll, making this a bud best reserved for the evening.
I highly recommend Cake Cream & Cheese to experienced consumers who appreciate a bold, funky cheese profile with real aromatic and flavor depth, and a high that delivers both power and sensory heightening in equal measure. The bud is probably too intense from a flavor and high point of view for novice consumers—but fortune favors the bold!
