Grower: Cannatopia

Rating: 4.4

The following diary entry is shared to provide insight into my personal use of cannabis to alleviate a series of medical and health issues.

Golden Poppy from Cannatopia opens with an unexpectedly cozy, breakfast-sweet nose. When the bud is picked apart by hand, it gives off a very vanilla-forward aroma that reads like banana corn flakes in milk. After grinding, the profile shifts into something brighter and more dynamic: sweet-and-sour fruit with a mild citrus edge thatโ€™s genuinely pleasant. The flavor leans back toward that initial vanilla-banana cereal note, now grounded with added earthy touches that round out the smoke and keep it satisfying.

The high is strong and quickly gets deep into the head, but it doesnโ€™t seem to set a mood so much as follow the mood of the consumer. I was able to ride the effect and steer it toward positivity, which made the experience intense but enjoyable. My senses stayed alert while my body grew progressively more relaxed, eventually tipping into a sleepy, sedated finish.

I highly recommend Golden Poppy to experienced consumers who will appreciate the delicious, subtle aromas and flavors. The high is likely too intense for novice consumers, but for those whoโ€™ve been around the block a few times, itโ€™s an enjoyable and uniquely tuned experience.
