I had to smoke Golden Poppy twice—the bud is super flavorful and its high is pretty intense—which just allowed me the ability to scrawl down a few notes in my trusty notebook before slipping away into blissful high. I will do my best to transpose the short notes I have below.
Golden Poppy has sour sweet, honey fermented mango citrus smell with a dry pull reminiscent of young mango with chili. Its taste comes close to matching that dry pull with floral, citrus and mango and spicy flavors. The high is initially heady and uplifting. For sure a feel good bud which will leave the toker stimulated, talkative—but will quickly move to dreamy, chill and relaxed, satisfied with life but hungry for food.
Golden Poppy is an excellent bud. So excellent that it makes me lose all professional discipline and pushes me to just chill and enjoy the bud. It is definitely appropriate for experienced users—who I believe will have similar reactions to me. Novice users can try the bud in moderation—it is fun and should be experienced by all.
