Dispensary: Local Boys (Bloom)

Rating: 4.5 leaves

Gorilla Punch is a yellow green bushy but slightly dense sativa leaning hybrid. It smells like weed. I know that this is not a great description, but that is the first thing that came to my mind when I smelled it.  Gorilla Punch smells like the weed you catch a whiff of when you’re walking down the street and think “damn, I wish I was smoking that.” It just has this nice, earthy, fruity pungent odor. This is a fragrance that will motivate you to walk up to a complete stranger in the time of Covid and ask, “hey, uh, can I get a hit off that?”

This bud tastes just as good as it smells. Gorilla Punch’s smoke is smooth, earthy, and floral. A classic OG taste which will throw you back to the days when you were lucky enough to cherish some really good weed from someone who had better connections than you did.

The effects of Gorilla Punch are lighter than the taste and essence indicate.  This strain has a medium strength sativa edge to it. Users will feel euphoric and giggly, engaged and productive, social and at ease, comfortable. At the same time Gorilla Punch has a light relaxing feeling to it. Enough to allow the user to enjoy a comfortable chair and remove any ambitions of extensive movement, but not enough to influence slumber.  Gorilla Punch will not get you stoned.

I would recommend Gorilla Punch to both novice and experienced users.  Experienced users will fall in love with the OG tastes and smells of a strain which allows them to power through a day of work or socialize with friends. Novice users . . . its almost too good for novice users . . . but novice users would be privileged to experience these flavors as one of their first cannabis experiences.  Come to think about it, it is so important that a first cannabis experience be positive—it shouldn’t be scary, overpowering, anxiety filled. Gorilla Punch is that positive first experience with delicious flavors, great moods and effects, thoughtfulness and mild relaxation.

Gorilla Punch is part of the first new harvest we are experiencing post-legalization.  This is a really exciting and positive indicator of where this market is going. Thailand is turning out awesome cannabis—OG cannabis if you’re looking for it—this is just the beginning my friends!
