Tropic Grown has upped their growing game. Their Ice Cream King is a beautiful bud, sticky, dank, purple based with white dusting, crystals and orange hairs. It has layers of odors which start with an earthy coffee sweetness but develops with a piney sourness when broken up and ground. The flavor is less explosive than the odor, but is still very good with a nutty, earthy, sweet taste which ends with a bit of lavender.
Ice Cream King’s high is strong and debilitating, with pressure on the head and eyes and a dizzy almost at sea feeling moving throughout the body. At its peak pangs of paranoia and anxiety emerged—causing me to doubt the enjoyment of the bud—but then dissipated into a super relaxed, chill, happy and comatose stoned feeling. Is the paranoia and anxiety worth going through to achieve that happy coma? Maybe. I did double back, smoked the bud again and had all the same reactions. I wouldn’t hesitate to go on a third journey. It is a trip, no doubt.
Novice users, do not even think of trying this bud. You will be left in the corner crying your eyes out and then you will pass out. I do recommend Ice Cream King for experienced users. Just keep in mind this is not a gentle high. Ice Cream King will tilt your whole world on its side before dropping you off blissfully in bed.
