Grower: Golden Temple
Rating: 4.6
The following diary entry is shared to provide insight into my personal use of cannabis to alleviate a series of medical and health issues.
Yabin from Golden Temple opens with a beautifully composed and unique aroma — sweet and floral at the fore, with an apple plum quality that leans decidedly toward sweetness away from tartness but with hints of sour. Underneath that fruit and sweetness sits a chemical and grassy undercurrent that grounds the nose and gives it an edge of almost perplexing complexity. The flavor turns a further corner, sweet and peaty, with a satisfying salty quality malt and grassy, settling into a cedar wood chips finish that is remarkably distinctive and lingers cleanly. It is an unusual and sophisticated flavor profile which is unlike anything else I have tried.
The high is a full on mellow. Super relaxed and laid back from the outset, it nonetheless keeps the consumer fully awake, creative, and engaged — thoughtful rather than foggy, calm rather than sedated. There is a quality of quiet aliveness to it, a sense of being present and at ease simultaneously—pleasurable and well-balanced.
I highly recommend Yabin to any consumer who appreciates a nuanced, sweet and floral fruity aroma with real depth and a flavor profile that is genuinely unlike anything else on the market. Golden Temple continues to operate at a level of consistency and quality that sets them apart, and Yabin is a worthy addition to that canon. This is an evening bud for the thoughtful consumer — one that invites reflection, creativity, and calm in equal measure.
