I am a sucker for bubble gum. I love Double Bubble, Bazooka Joe, Bubbleyum, and of the classic pink bubble gums. Prior to the onslaught of candy flavored strains which currently dominate our social media feeds, the Bubble Gum strain was a rare and welcome treat. In one of my recent purchases of local strains, I notice that the vendor/farmer was also growing Bubble Gum and I jumped on the opportunity and picked up a few grams.
The quality of this locally grown Bubble Gum bud is decent with an acceptable decency, slight stickiness, and evident pink bubble gum odor (stronger once ground). The flavor is delicious, with a strong taste of bubble gum which stays true to the pink classic.
The effects are of a fairly well balanced hybrid, with a euphoric, energetic, creative and heady head high; and a fully relaxed body high. This is a feel good strain which is appropriate for socialization with a few comfortable friends or loved ones, or is perfectly fine to smoke in solitude just to relax and chill with a book or TV. While the users mind will remain sharp, creative and useful, the fully relaxed body may sap motivation. As a result, this is more of an attentive chill strain, than a productive strain.
Bubble Gum is a fine strain, it is dependable, tastes great and leaves the user happy and relaxed. It is an appropriate strain for novice users as the effects are positive without debilitation and the taste is delicious and familiar. For advanced users, it is not the most sophisticated nor does it have the deepest character, but it is dependable with strong positive effects and will not let the user down.
Your dedicated cannabis correspondent keeps this strain around as a closer for nights where other strains are disappointing. It is perfect for wiping out the tastes and effects of inferior strains. It rarely is my go to strain, but it is often the strain I end with.
