I have already mentioned Da Funk in HighThailand’s Master Growers series on Canis Major. But as I go through my notes, I can’t help but vividly imagine that bud’s unique flavors as the memories stimulate my taste buds.
Da Funk is a big bushy green and orange bud with strong aromas of lavender and berries. The flavor is incredibly complex with hints of earthy floral notes which develop into a strong Dr. Pepper taste. A taste like nothing I have had before. The effects are strong moving from the head quickly to the body, relaxing, chilling, slowing everything down but super happy and convivial. We smoke this bud while interviewing Canis Major—and the interview slowed down considerably after this bud was combusted.
Da Funk is a bud I would recommend to both novice and experienced users. It is strong, and to that end experienced users will feel more comfortable navigating the deep relaxing effects. However, while it is a strong bud it is not debilitating and the feel-good elements may help novice users weather the deep body high. I do recommend that this bud is smoked around a comfy couch and some friends.
