Super Silver Haze is a bud which has been previously reviewed in these pages and one which has been popping up around Thailand these days. The guys at Shanti were kind enough to share some of the locally grown SSH which they are currently keeping on their shelves.
SSH is a vibrant green bud covered in a fuzz of little hairs. The bud has a strong citrus odor, but a flavor which is more earthy than citrussy with a decent taste. The effects are consistent with other SSH strains: energetic, creative, excited, engaged, giddy and happy. A true working man’s bud.
I would recommend SSH, especially some of the outdoor grown SSH which is available up north, to both novice and experienced users. Experienced users may be slightly disappointed by the odors and flavors of the bud, which are acceptable but not incredible, but will appreciate the effects which are pretty great. Novice users will be able to experience a neo-classic sativa (in particular haze) strain, an important stepping stone in any toker’s education. I am a consistent fan of SSH as a day time bud and will no doubt return to it.
