Dark Jedi was not what I expected. I picked the bud based purely off sight. The bud is a super dusty, grey green little Christmas tree with endless little hairs reaching out. I was expecting a woodsy pine feel but was caught off guard by strong and solidly dank sour lemon and pepper odors. Once lit that bud’s taste was even more layered and pronounced with persimmon and pepper flavors and an earthy and floral finish.
In a state of surprise, I sat down to record my thoughts with the full intention of rolling another joint to once more experience these flavors and aromas. I never got to that second joint. Dark Jedi is a creeper. The high starts off gentle and mild, chill, elated, sabai sabai, slightly cloudy. But then it gets deeper and heavier. Everything slows down considerably. I sat holding my notebook for an indeterminable amount of time, blending in with my furniture. Immovable, dazed, watching NBA highlights from the 80s.
Dark Jedi has some great flavors and aromas. They are complex and develop as they are smoked and surely will attract any fan of cannabis. The high is strong and debilitating—but pleasant. Both experienced and novice users should know what they are getting into before lighting up. Experienced users will be prepared. Novice users, have a couch and pillows nearby, this won’t hurt but you’ll need a comfy place to land.
