Dulce de Fresa is an extraordinary bud. She is gorgeous. Sparkly, dusty, hairy, huge, orange and green with purple protrusions. Sticky as sticky gets—a real beauty. The aroma is magical, strong vanilla cream with strawberries and the fumes of a cognac filled snifter. The flavor is crazy good and a journey from the beginning to the end of a joint. The flavor begins with vanilla custard and then picks up berries, before adding an earthy, herby, and hoppy taste before coming to a cardamom vanilla conclusion with a hint of strawberries. A truly smooth, unique, and delicious bud.
Dulce de Fresa’s high begins energetic, creative, engaged, stress erasing, elated, productive. I proclaimed to Mrs. Mendel that it was a shame to have smoked the bud in the evening as it was clearly meant to be used while working. But I was wrong, that energetic buzz melts into a super chill and relaxed high, never stoned, but strong nonetheless. Strong enough to pull me to bed and to sleep.
I highly recommend Dulce de Fresa to experienced users—the flavors, the odors and the high are superb. Novice users will enjoy the same qualities but should use the bud in moderation—this is not a debilitating flower—but it is strong enough to put you to sleep. Use with caution.
