I came back home from a long night of meetings with little guiding my preference for my late night smoke. I broke out my stash, my queue of samples, and the first bud I pulled was Platinum Zookies. After a quick inspection of this orange haired dusty green and purple Christmas tree shaped bud, I happily began preparing my joint.
Platinum Zookies has an initial spicy aroma which opens to sour sweet grapefruit and lime odors and a hint of kerosene. The spiciness is retained in the taste but the sourness gives way to an smooth and pleasant earthy nutty mild sweet flavor. The smoke is smooth and rich—and the ash burns almost white. The high is slightly balanced on the sativa side—with an engaged mind but chilled and relaxed body. This is not a sleep inducing bud—but its not a cup of coffee either. All in all, Platinum Zookies is pleasant and relaxing, never overwhelming and excellent for chilling out without worries or responsibility.
Platinum Zookies is recommended for novice users. The bud is super high quality with excellent form, curing and smokes beautifully. The odors and taste are pleasant and enjoyable. The high is manageable, will not overwhelm, and has little drawbacks or surprises in store. Experienced users will be content to put their feet up, smoke this bud and chill out for a social evening or just watching the tube.  Â
