Grower: Terpie Garden

Rating: 4.5

This is the fifth of Terpie’s buds that I have sampled and it is my favorite of his. Truffle Treats gets high marks all across the board: smell, taste, high and into the bonus with its beauty.  The bud, purplish green with tons of orange hairs and crystals, has a springy denseness which gives way to a serious stickiness when broken. The aroma has millions of pungent skunky layers which include berries, green apple gas, nuts, earth, garlic and spice. It seems that every time the bud is pinched or ground a new layer of aromas comes out. I’m not sure I captured them all in my notes—and I can barely believe all these odors somehow live together—but they do. The flavor is funky and pungent, with earthy and nutty flavors, spice and hints of that sour apple gas. Delicious.

Truffle Treat’s high goes pretty deep into the mind and body and is not for virgins. Initially the bud feels gentle and even productive.  I did a bit of work in the first 30-45 after smoking and was happily engaged and productive. But as the time passed waves started gently moving through my body, and that high got deeper and deeper until I was happily stoned. Completely relaxed—without a care in the world, content and satisfied with life.

Truffle Treats is not for novices. Those waves I thoroughly enjoyed moving through my body may freak out a virgin. But experienced users will climb on that slow gentle but powerful ride with the foresight and knowledge that everything is going to be just fine. Highly recommended.
