Grower: Terpie Garden

Rating: 4.5

Terpie’s (Zkittles x Sherb) x Permanent Marker, which I will just call Terpie’s Marker for the rest of this review, is perhaps the least subtle of any Permanent Marker cross I have come across. The bud is super gassy, with fumes coming off the bud with nutty, piney, licorice herbal and dark fermented berry aromas. The flavor of concentrated dark berries, licorice and a minty almost spiced herbiness which gets stronger as the bud burns down is powerful and intense—the flavor is sweet but serious—serious enough to make a child cry. There is no gentle foreplay with Terpie’s Marker, the flavors and aromas are immediate and intense—they stay this way until the end.

Terpie’s Marker is strong—as I was burning down to the conclusion of my joint I was sure that I was heading towards a strong stoned effect, one which would drive me deep into my mattress. But this bud actually tends to be more alert and engaged though pretty ineffective and unproductive. My mind was engaged in activity, processing and understanding.  But it was hard to speak and even harder to write my thoughts and observations into my notebook. Indeed, it was a challenge jotting down notes which led to a bit of anxiety—so I closed my book and enjoyed my television instead. The effects in the body are mild relaxation—but this bud seems to tend more towards the head than the corpus.

I highly recommend this bud to experienced consumers who appreciate a strong heady high and intense flavors.  For those same reasons this bud will be overwhelming for novice consumers.
