Grower: Humble Gardens

Rating: 4.4

Animal Mints from Humble Gardens looks like a ghost of a bud with a deep pale green-grey body and faint sparse green orange hairs poking through. Earthy nutty aromas give way to mints herbs and a deep pine and citrus which gets stronger and dominates once ground. The flavor smacks of strong menthol (strong enough to clear future colds and flus)—while keeping that nutty earthy base. As the bud burns down it become very herby concluding with a licorice finish. This is the first bud I have sampled from Humble Gardens—and I am very impressed—they have done justice to this cultivar.

The high is chill, contemplative, peaceful and light with perspective. A perfect bud for thinking, organizing, taking time and doing an inventory of the mind’s clutter. This is a high quality and very self reflective high—one which is perfect for being alone.

I highly recommend this bud to all cannabis consumers new and old. The flavors and aromas are classic—indeed this bud is almost sets the standard for menthol. But the real star is the high which is ever so satisfying—there are no twists or turns here, just a classic high. Novice consumers should approach the bud in moderation.
