Dispensary: Four Twenty

“I saw you walking up Ratchadapisek on Saturday. You had a giant smile on your face. You looked like you were super happy.” True that, I was super happy. An associate of mine mentioned the above to me the Tuesday after I had the good fortune of smoking a Mandarin Cookies joint provided by our friend Tai of Four Twenty at the Asia International Hemp Expo. As discussed in earlier reviews, this was the right strain for the right time.

Mandarin Cookies gives off pungent citrussy and gassy odors. It has a rich earthy, orange tangerine flavor with a sweet aftertaste which will leave the user smacking their lips. The strain is a hybrid, relatively mild in strength, but still has a fully developed character. This bud relaxed me to the point of lowering my inhibitions and chatting up a storm with whomever would listen to me. Time slowed down, everything was clear, everything was happy, everything was OK. I took a walk through Benjakitti Park on my way to the BTS—despite dropping half my belongings on the way, the walk was wonderfully chill and beautiful. Colors were vibrant, birds were singing, the temperature was perfect. Everything just felt so good.

Mandarin Cookies is a perfect mid to late afternoon strain. It probably will relax the user too much to be efficient for work—but it is the ideal strain for socializing, enjoying your surroundings, people, art and nature. This strain is highly recommended for both experienced and novice users. Experienced users will appreciate the complexity of the character. Novice users will be able to experience a rich strain which will is relatively mild in strength.
