Grower: Eighty Six Cannabis Co.
I had a hankering for something old school, something that would take me back to Chicago in 90s when I was having my first weed experiences. I need this every once in a while, and I have had some recent disappointments. Don’t get me wrong, I have come to appreciate and enjoy all the new generation of flowers and tastes and odors. But after a while I need to be grounded again with weed that smells and tastes like weed. Thankfully Northern Thunder did this for me. Skunky, old school, weedy, pungent, sexy, gassy odors with pine and sour citrus took me back in the day. Its flavors of pine, mint, citrus and sweet earth are better than anything I was smoking back in the 90s.
Northern Thunder feels like and indica and its high reminds me a lot of its Northern Lights lineage. The bud relaxes the body, slows down time, and adds weight to the head. This is a bud which will get you happily stoned but it is a comfortable stoned feeling, there is nothing scary about Northern Thunder.
Northern Thunder can be pretty heavy—novice users should approach the bud with respect and use it sparingly. However, I still would urge novice users to try this bud in moderation. The flavors and odors are so classic—an ideal bud to showcase a bit of history which all lovers of cannabis should be familiar . Experienced users, like me, will be thrilled to find a bud which captures their youth . . . in my case captures my youth in a better quality version.
