Dispensary: Fat Bud’s Weed Shop

Rating: 4.4 leaves

It seems that many of the strains I have been trying for the last few days are similar. Pungent and fruity. Sweet but funky. Alert and happy.  Grape Diamonds fits this description as well—and that’s fine by me.

Grape Diamonds’s looks like a heavily frosted Christmas tree. Large green buds with consistent white dusting.  A very high quality and beautiful bud. The flower has a sweet, grape, spicy and skunky aroma which is matched by a funky grape flavor (both in vape and smoke).

Grape Diamond is a fairly well-balanced hybrid. It starts off heady, with the user feeling happy and alert and with little body high.  However, as you may be anticipating, a body high does eventually materialize. Users will feel chill and happy, relaxed, rested and close to sleep.  Close to sleep, but not all the way. I was sure that I was heading towards an evening passed out on my couch, but this never happened. Instead, I found myself reawakened—alert once more and engaged. A sativa, to indica, back to sativa effect? I would have been happy to sleep—but at the same time, I was content enough not to light up again.

Grape Diamond is appropriate for novices and experienced users. The high is controllable, flirts with being stoned, but never really gets there. The taste is quite excellent and should satisfy users who like pungent strains as well as those who favor fruity strains. The swing form alert to rested to alert once more caught me by surprise. The perfect strain for an afternoon with a scheduled nap.
