Dispensary: Fat Bud’s Weed Shop

Rating: 3.5 leaves

If you follow this page you know that I am serious about CBD. I am convinced of its health effects and believe that it is a necessary part of overall healthy cannabis use to counter and complement the high THC strains which I sample from time to time.

I had smoked Charlotte’s Web first in 2019 during the first wave of legal cannabis growth in Thailand after medicinal cannabis was legalized. I hated it. It was bitter, gave me a headache, and left me waiting for something to happen. Nothing ever did.

Three years later Fat Bud asked me to try it, and I was hesitant. My previous experience was horrible, but at the same time I have a new found appreciation for CBD and decided to give Charlotte’s Web a second shot. The bud had an earthy and slightly piney aroma, which was already superior to the dirt CBD I had tried in 2019. The flavor was acceptable, earthy and slightly mentholy, but lacking the superior flavor of the previous CBD strains reviewed here.  The effects, however, were positive, relaxed and chill followed by a pleasant slumber.

In short, Charlotte’s Web gets the job done. It has the healing, clean, relaxing feeling of CBD. But it misses some of the flavor and aromas of the other CBD strains I have had the pleasure to try. I would not be unhappy to use it for healing purposes—but it is not my go to CBD strain.
